The quickest way to handle large group draws

How it works, step by step

1

Prepare your participant list

Create a sheet with three columns: Name, Email and Exclusions (the last one is optional). Exclusions use position numbers separated by commas. For example, if Ann is at position 3 and you do not want John to draw her name, put a 3 on John's row.

2

Upload your file or paste the data

You can upload a .csv, .xlsx or .xls file directly, or copy and paste the contents into the text area. Our platform will analyse the data automatically and show you a summary before proceeding.

3

Check everything looks correct

Review the table showing all detected participants. If there are incorrectly formatted emails, out-of-range exclusions or duplicate rows, we will flag them so you can fix things before continuing.

4

Fill in the draw details and you are done

Enter your email as the organiser, give the draw a name and optionally add the event date and budget. Once you hit the button, the draw is generated and each participant receives a private email revealing who they are gifting to.

What your file should look like

It does not need to be complicated. A simple three-column format separated by semicolons is all you need:

CSV

Name;Email;Exclusions

Sophie;[email protected]

Mark;[email protected];3

Lucy;[email protected]

Paul;[email protected];1,2

Ellen;[email protected]

Sophie has no exclusions: she can be matched with anyone.

Mark has exclusion 3, so he will not be assigned to Lucy.

Paul has exclusions 1 and 2: he will not give gifts to Sophie or Mark.

The exclusion number corresponds to each person's position in the list (starting from 1). Separate multiple numbers with commas if someone has more than one exclusion.
